Overview
Replacing a septic tank beneath a tarmac driveway – with a neighbouring property’s utility lines running through the site – is not straightforward. For the owner of Beren Combe, WCI’s Free Upgrade Scheme made it possible at no cost and with a seamless finish.
The Challenge
The existing tank was positioned under the driveway, requiring careful excavation around adjacent utility infrastructure.
The WCI Solution
The driveway was excavated, the old tank removed, and a new GRAF 7PE one2clean installed, backfilled and secured in concrete. The driveway was fully retarmacked on completion and a holly bush disturbed during the works was replanted.
The Outcome
The property now has a modern compliant sewage treatment system contributing to phosphate reduction in the River Tone catchment. The owner was delighted with the seamless reinstatement.
