WCI Group Ltd is a family-run water and wastewater engineering business with deep roots in the southwest.
What began as a focused installation service in 1983 has grown into an integrated, end-to-end provider of design, construction, maintenance, surveying and environmental compliance solutions for domestic and commercial clients across the UK.
Today we combine practical, on-site knowledge with technical innovation and regulatory expertise – delivering reliable, sustainable outcomes that clients can trust for decades.

Wiveliscombe Cottage Industries
WCI is founded with a core offering: the installation of private wastewater systems.
Incorporated
Becomes a limited company, ‘WCI Pollution Control Limited’, paving the way for structured growth. Registered offices move to Old Brewery Road, Wiveliscombe, to support team expansion.
Name changes
Registered company name changes to ‘WCI Sewage Treatment Limited’ to better reflect our service offering to clients.
New MD
Bradley Taylor appointed as Managing Director, driving strategic expansion and doubling team size. Dedicated Service & Maintenance division is developed, offering planned, reactive and commissioning support.
New Service Divisions
WCI evolves into a fully integrated solutions provider with the addition of Professional Services, Design & Construction capabilities.
Growth
Diversification expands our expertise to include potable water solutions alongside wastewater.
WCI Group Limited
Official change of registered business name to WCI Group Limited with the addition of our fourth division covering Nutrient Neutrality to deliver NNAMS and sHRAs. New visual identity launched to provide division clarity and dedicated expertise in each area.
Phosphate Credit Scheme
Phosphate Credit Scheme launches in Somerset. Further office expansion supports continued team growth.
Nutrient Neutrality scheme
Landmark agreement signed with Somerset Council thanks to Nutrient Neutrality scheme developed by WCI MD Brad Taylor – enabling free septic tank upgrades that generate phosphate credits for developers. Now nationally adopted by other providers.
20+ dedicated professionals
Additional office and storage space added. Team continues to grow to 20+ dedicated professionals celebrated by winning the Somerset Business Awards for ‘Service Excellence’
Now & beyond
