Emergency Sunday Callout – Private Water Supply Restored Overnight
A private water supply failure on a Sunday afternoon is not something you can wait until Monday to fix. When a homeowner called us without water, WCI Service Engineers responded immediately.
Summary
- Same-day response to a Sunday afternoon emergency call
- Temporary non-potable supply set up the same evening
- Replacement pump fitted, tested and operational the following morning
Overview
When a homeowner called WCI Service Engineers to say their well pump was running but not delivering water, our experienced engineer suspected a shaft failure and came out to investigate.
The Challenge
The pump was around 20 years old and heavily corroded – identification of the original make and model was not possible. The homeowner needed water restored that day.
The WCI Solution
Our engineer sized a replacement pump based on the property’s performance requirements, flow rate and existing system. A temporary non-potable supply was set up via a pump, hose and storage tank, and the replacement pump was ordered for collection the following morning.
The Outcome
The new pump was fitted, tested and in good working order the next day.
