What are phosphate credits and do I need them for my development?

If your development is in the River Tone, Parrett, Brue or Axe catchment area and generates additional wastewater, you will need to purchase enough credits to offset your development’s phosphate load. This is a condition of planning consent in these catchments via Natural England’s advice notes.
