Overview
The owners of a working farm near Ottery St Mary wanted to upgrade their septic tank to a compliant system. With immaculate grounds and the need for a vehicle-rated installation beneath the driveway, the quality of reinstatement was as important as the engineering.
The Challenge
The new treatment plant needed to sit under the driveway and bear vehicle traffic. Every surface needed to be returned to the standard the owners expected.
The WCI Solution
A Solido Smart STP was installed under a steel-reinforced concrete slab in the driveway, reusing the existing discharge pipework to the watercourse. All turf was stripped and saved, topsoil separated, trenches compacted for long-term settlement prevention, and all tarmac cuts reinstated with hot tarmac and rolled to a seamless finish.
The Outcome
On time, on budget and seamlessly finished. The system is maintained under a WCI annual service contract.
