Overview
Little Cheriton House was developing a full-service treehouse guest house experience. The drainage brief was exacting: completely silent, minimum visual impact, designed to work with the natural landscape and steep topography.
The Challenge
Seasonal flows, steep ground and suboptimal soil composition made the design more complex than it appeared. A package treatment plant with a blower was ruled out on noise grounds.
The WCI Solution
WCI confirmed through soil assessment that a septic tank and drainage field was achievable. The drainage field was designed to follow the contours of the steep site, preventing any risk of outcropping.
The Outcome
The result is a system that is completely silent and invisible when in use maintaining the peaceful environment the treehouse demanded.
