Overview

Newton Brook Caravan and Camping needed a new sewage treatment plant sized for its full seasonal population. WCI Water & Wastewater Engineers specified a certified system sized to British Water Flows and Loads guidelines and managed the full installation.

The Challenge

The system needed to treat to the EA permit criteria at peak seasonal load for 100 pitches, with discharge directly to the adjacent watercourse.

The WCI Solution

A WPL HiPAF plant was installed in the lower field, sized to 40m³/day and certified to BS EN 12566-3:2005. The existing on-site tank was converted to a rainwater harvesting system.

The Outcome

The park has a modern certified sewage treatment system serving its full seasonal capacity.
