Overview
WCI carried out a home buyer drainage survey at which point everything was compliant. Three years later, builders carrying out landscaping work irreparably damaged the drainage field and effluent was pooling at the surface. The owners called WCI.
The Challenge
The proximity of a flowing watercourse and poor soil percolation in the area made a replacement drainage field impossible. A packaged sewage treatment plant was the correct and only viable solution.
The WCI Solution
A Solido Smart 6PE STP was installed with a new discharge pipe to the watercourse. Works were completed in just three days, with water access lost for only one hour during the installation.
The Outcome
Beech Cottage now discharges fully within EA General Binding Rules, under a Building Control notice.
