Overview
Following planning consent for Leafy Fields glamping site in the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, WCI Consulting Engineers was appointed to design and install the complete foul and surface water drainage scheme, water supplies and electrical services.
The Challenge
The site required a full foul drainage network, surface water drainage, connection to the public sewer via a Section 106 application, and utility services to each pitch – all in a sensitive AONB location requiring a high standard of execution.
The WCI Solution
WCI designed and installed 110mm uPVC foul drainage with inspection chambers across all 12 plots, ACO Hexdrain surface water channels, 32mm MDPE water pipe with isolation taps and armoured electrical cable looped to each plot. WCI managed the S106 application and all traffic management requirements for the sewer connection.
The Outcome
Leafy Fields opened with complete, compliant site infrastructure built to building regulations standard.
