MAINTENANCE & COMMISSIONING
Keep your off-mains system running smoothly with professional maintenance for all makes and models – from domestic septic tanks to commercial treatment plants – across the Southwest.
WCI provides planned maintenance, emergency call-outs, repairs, and commissioning for sewage treatment plants, pumping stations, rainwater harvesting systems, and drinking water equipment. With over 40 years of experience, we service systems we didn’t install and work with all manufacturers.
Regular maintenance ensures efficient operation, protects the environment, maintains regulatory compliance, and extends your system’s lifespan – saving you money in the long run. Without it, systems can fail, causing sewage backups, pollution, and costly emergency repairs.
Prevention is better than cure!

PLANNED & REACTIVE
Annual contracts, emergency call outs or one off visits for the maintenance of Sewage treatment plants, pumping stations, rainwater harvesting system and private water system equipment.

RECTIFICATION
Refurbishment of all makes and models of sewage treatment plants and drinking water equipment – from single domestic properties to large-scale commercial projects.

COMMISSIONING
WCI’s documentation enable sign-off for Building Control, ensuring your third-party installed system is fully compliant with manufacturer specifications and warranties.
.
WHY SERVICE?
Regular servicing helps to prolong the life of your system and keep your equipment working efficiently with worry-free functionality avoiding costly and disruptive breakdowns. Failure to regularly service your equipment can invalidate the manufacturer’s warranties on the equipment; with regular servicing you will have a complete service history which demonstrates regulatory compliance and maintain conditions of manufacturers warranty.

Domestic Coverage
We provide planned and reactive maintenance for domestic customers across Somerset, Devon, Dorset and Wiltshire. Our service plans ensure that customers benefit from the efficiencies that we can derive from efficient scheduling despite the wide area that we cover. All service plans come with a Service Level Agreement which guarantees a response time according to the urgency of an unplanned failure wherever you are.
Commercial Coverage
We provide planned and reactive maintenance for larger systems nationwide, from North Wales, to the South Coast and Cornwall. Work is prioritised according to contract requirements and SLAs. All engineers carry a wide range of van-stock assuring clients of efficient and professional resolutions with the minimum of revisits.
Service Reports
Following our visit, you will receive a service report setting out the current state of the system, any costed repairs that are required and most importantly, why the work is needed so that you fully understand your options. The report also includes photographs, test results and recommendations for when the system next needs to be emptied – WCI don’t empty, but we are able to liaise with trusted partners to make the process smoother for our clients.
RECTIFICATION
Just because your system isn’t working, doesn’t mean it needs replacing. Rectification works can include structural repairs, replacement of electrical and mechanical components and even an upgrade of a treatment process to a more modern, efficient arrangement using the original tank structure.
Example of repairs include:
- Klargester Biodisc replacement of media packs, bearings, shaft, alarm and control panel.
- WPL diamond repair of central draft tube to manufacturer’s guidelines.
- Pumping station to mains overhaul including replacement of guide rails, pumps, lifting chains, brackets, pipework, floats, alarms and control panel.
- Drinking water borehole and well control panel upgrade to ensure when the well ran dry the borehole supply kicked in to keep our clients supplied with clean drinking water.
All of WCI’s Service Engineers are British Water accredited, they are experts at rectifying significant failures in treatment plants.
COMMISSIONING
Don’t leave compliance to chance. While your groundworker may handle installation of a system professionally, they often lack the expertise for final commissioning. WCI’s British Water accredited engineers have the expertise to ensure correct operation to the manufacturers specification which validates any extended manufacturer’s warranties. WCI will also ensure that the new system compiles with Building Control and compile all necessary documentation and proof of Environment Agency (General Binding Rules of Permit) compliance.
The WCI team’s years of experience allow us to commission all makes and models of sewage treatment plants, pumping stations, rain harvesting systems and drinking water equipment.
