The Role
We’re looking for a proactive and technically minded procurement coordinator to support the smooth running of our construction operations. This is a hands-on, development-focused role ideal for someone with a background in civils or construction procurement who’s eager to grow into Quantity Surveying, Estimating, or Commercial Management.
You’ll play a key part in ensuring materials, plant, and processes are in place to keep our projects running efficiently – while building the commercial awareness and technical skills to take your career to the next level.
This a full time, permanent officed based position in Wiveliscombe and the salary is up to £45,000 depending on background and experience.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Support & Quality Assurance
- Support day-to-day operational processes across multiple divisions
- Liaise with staff, subcontractors, and clients to ensure clear communication and smooth project delivery
- Assist in implementing and maintaining quality assurance protocols
- Coordinate deliveries and collections in line with project programmes
- Manage goods in/out procedures and support annual stock takes Procurement & Inventory Management
- Assist in implementing stock control processes
- Support warehouse stock management and replenishment
- Ensure systems and documentation are kept up to date and aligned with operational needs
Procurement Management
- Manage procurement and hire/off-hire of project-specific and stock inventory materials and plant
- Maintain and update company price book and costing sheets
- Source prices for bid preparation, including bespoke items
- Implement and manage a GRN (Goods Received Note) process, including returns and credits
- Maintain the Purchase Order database and ensure accurate records for Supplier & Vendor Management
- Maintain supplier lists, categories, and preferred statuses
- Manage the new vendor approval process
- Support Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) processes
- Provide pricing support for bids and tenders Stock & Systems

About You

- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
- Physically able to support warehouse and site-based tasks when needed
- A background in Civils and Construction would be advantageous
- A proactive attitude and a desire to develop into a commercial role
