Compliance Met with Graf One2Clean Sewage Treatment

The new owners of this beautiful property were aware that their existing septic tank was not draining away. Investigations found that the septic tank had sunk and the effluent was not discharging into the drainage field. A solution was required and WCI was contacted.

Cost-Effective,  High-Quality Sewage Treatment

As new owners of the property, the decision was made to install a GRAF One2Clean sewage treatment plant to ensure that only the cleanest effluent was discharging into the environment and that the existing compliant drainage field had longevity.

Several contractors were asked to tender and WCI won the contract based on our ‘knowledgeable approach and value for money’.

A Level Of Reinstatement To Match The Surroundings

The GRAF treatment plant was installed to replace the existing failed septic tank. The area was landscaped and finished to a high standard. The system was installed under a concrete slab to improve use of the area for garden tasks and the lawned areas were reseeded.

The system was commissioned by a WCI British Water Service Engineer and is now under an annual service contract.

The owners were given a complete final documents pack detailing the work undertaken. The pack is to be added to with annual service reports and emptying receipts and kept for a minimum of 5 years. This information can be presented when the property is sold in the future or if the Environment Agency require proof of the systems compliance.

‘Our 30-year-old septic tank had failed, and it was clear a replacement was required. We approached a number of firms and WCI stood out for their professional knowledgeable approach and value for money. We went ahead with their recommendation that a GRAF sewage treatment plant was best suited to the site & our requirements. The ground works team were excellent, and the new plant was quickly in place with an excellent finish on the concrete. 12 months on the GRAF plant has worked smoothly & we have had no issues at all’.

The new sewage treatment plant was sited and installed as per the manufacturer’s instructions, surrounded in concrete and backfilled with soil. The air blower kiosk was discreetly positioned next to the garden fence and then the whole system was commissioned by a WCI British Water accredited and GRAF trained service engineer.

Having completed the installation, the team got to work restoring the grounds. The garden was returfed, the fence erected and the patio and the decking reinstated. The owners were left with a fully compliant and eco-efficient treatment plant which brought about a reduction of 1.01kg of Total Phosphorous (TP) per year.
