Wastewater Effluent Testing
All private sewage discharges are governed by the Environmental Permitting Regulations. The regulations require you to maintain records of demonstrating your compliance with your permit or with the requirements of the General Binding Rules.
Wastewater Effluent Testing is an important part of demonstrating you are compliant with the Environmental Permitting Regulations. These tests typically include testing for ‘Biological Oxygen Demand’ (BOD), ‘Suspended Solids’ (SS) and ‘Ammoniacal Nitrogen’ (a measure of the amount of ammonia) but can also include testing for Nitrates, Total Phosphorus or other contaminants.
