Project Engineer

Reports to: Director

Location: Taunton

Contract: Full-time (40 hours a week)

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum + company vehicle + bonus

This isn’t your average desk job. As a Project Engineer, you’ll be right in the thick of things, managing a range of turnkey construction projects. Supported by a team of civil engineers, you’ll use your knowledge of sewage treatment and water management processes to come up with creative technical solutions for the treatment and management of sewage, surface water, and potable water. From carrying out site surveys to preparing estimates and resource plans, you’ll be defining and documenting project and client requirements, and ultimately delivering projects on time, on budget, and in line with all the regulatory and health and safety standards.

This is a hugely varied and hands-on position where, as technical lead on projects, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping our projects and developing our business. No two days are the same. One day you might be out on-site getting the lay of the land, and the next, you’re brainstorming innovative solutions to complex problems.

You’ll be part of a team who are as passionate about what they do as you are, and you’ll be supported every step of the way.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Solid experience in project management within the water and wastewater sector.
  • A knack for problem-solving and developing creative technical solutions.
  • Proficiency in preparing estimates, resource plans, and project documentation
  • Great communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and the willingness to get stuck in.
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to various sites as required.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary and benefits package.
  • The chance to work on a wide variety of exciting and challenging projects.
  • A supportive, fun, and collaborative work environment.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development.
  • The satisfaction of being part of a company that’s leading the way in water and wastewater management.
