Langdons: Sewage case study
Langdons Business Park is a busy mixed use park in Devon was found to be grossly polluting a ditch by the Environment Agency.
Business Park Clean up their Act
WCI Sewage Treatment was employed to liaise with the Environment Agency (EA), apply for an EA permit and conducted a tender process to ensure the best package sewage treatment plant was installed at the site.
The new system was required to be vehicle loading, installed under a wearing course, with a pumped discharge and a lagged air blower kiosk for noise suppression. The site had a limited available footprint for the installation.
The plant installed by WCI was a WPL Eco HiPAF Midi. The Business Park had uninterrupted drainage through the installation and the inconvenience of the installation was kept to a minimum.
- WPL Eco HiPAF 70pe
- Bespoke EA permit 20:30:20.
- Max 210m3/ day flow
- Vehicle Loading
- Pumped discharge
- Acoustically lagged kiosk

My colleagues and I were delighted with how WCI handled the project from the EA permit application to the ongoing service of the plant. They found solutions to any problems found with minimum fuss and input of the owners. We would not hesitate in recommending them.
